CHARITY

Mark is not only passionate about making money, but also giving something back to society, through charity donations that he and business partner Rob Moore raise. In the past four years, Mark and the company Progressive Property have raised well over 6 figure totals for the Sue Ryder charity, Cancer Research, Make a Wish and Sense. They are aiming to keep on track to meet and pass 7 figures.
Sue Ryder is a charity that is particularly close to Mark’s heart. Sue Ryder runs hospices across the country, and offers care to any patient with an incurable disease. Patients requiring pain and symptom management can visit a centre and then later go home, while other people come in for end of life care and the nurses try to make their experiences as comfortable as possible.
In 2016, Mark and Rob raised £119.332.59, which pays for 3 nurses to work for a whole year, as well as 300 hours of bereavement support, which can be for children. Mark’s father came to Sue Ryder at the end of his life and had a much more comfortable experience than he would have without them during his last days. For this reason, Mark feels passionate about helping keep the home open, running, and well-run.
A volunteer at Sue Ryder said about Mark and Rob’s charity efforts: “It is an unbelievable amount of money that you’ve raised, and the difference it’s going to make here to keep this place running is second-to-none. I’m sure that we can’t thank you enough for that.”
