Is the grass always greener?

Perhaps the worst thing you can do for your own focus, vision, self-worth & happiness is to look at others & compare yourself, thinking it is easier for them & that the grass is greener on the other site.

That could be for a new job, new relationship, or looking at someone you think is successful. You don’t know their struggle, challenges and what they had to go through.

Chances are they would be the same challenges you have had, they may just be a little further down the line.

If you perceive it is smoother & quicker for others, you’re only looking at the hardship you’re currently feeling, & not seeing their challenges, struggle & sacrifices they made to get there.

It’s often easiest & best to keep doing what you are doing, as long as you are clear that is is right & important to you, & in line with your vision, as you’re further down the line & closer to success on your side of the fence than starting again on a side of grass that looks greener but rarely ever is.

Looking with envy, jealousy & even awe at a person on the other side of the fence is a symptom of a lack of clarity of your own vision, values & focus, because no-one can be a better you than you, and you are only meant to be who you really are.

The grass is usually never greener.
